Hi guys, yesterday while I was at an event with my stepson I noticed a mid 90's Roadmaster station wagon near the parking lot that looked as if it hadn't been used for a couple of years. It was being used for storage as far as I could tell. Forgot to get a picture.
It has the nice wheels and appears to be a pretty deluxe car although the back bumper is twisted from something.
I think a couple of you guys regard those barges fairly highly.
Do you think I should pick it up if it is cheap and decent? Are they practical to drive at all?
They are great to drive I love my wagon it is good on fuel and better then a truck.Just check for rusty frame issues and floors alot of them are rotted.
Oh yes I'd grab it in a minute. I had a 96 Caprice Wagon on order as my company car but I never got it...job ended before it came, never did know or care what they did with it Of course as Carl will agree and I will too for a wagon should have an LT 1.

Great wagons for sure. The one pictured belongs to a guy from New Jersey.
I am definately a Roadmaster fan. After an 88 Estate Wagon with a 307 engine and a 92 Roadmaster with a base Chevy 350, I am driving a 96 collector edition Roadmaster with the LT1 and just under 80K miles. This car screams compared to the 92. The 96 has seen limited duty the last 6 years while I had a company car (Mercury Mountaineer) to drive. The Mercury went away last month in lieu of a car allowance, so now I am using the Roadmaster full time. What a joy to drive.
I believe the 94-96 Buick wagons came standard with the LT1 and towing package, which included suspension upgrades that were supposedly the same parts as the Impala SS. Car handles as well as it accelerates. All while sitting in luxury in a soft leather driver's seat.
