Finally getting motivated

Ok, after rereading some posts on here and checking out all the fantastic cars.
I finally got started on cleaning out the garage so I can get down to work on the 66 Grande Parisienne.
It's been sitting for about the last 19 or so years. Got it trailered to Barrie ON., a couple summers back from Winnipeg. Bought a bunch of brake parts but then got busy.
So this past week-end, started moving stuff off the car and from around the car.
Tonight or tomorrow night, going to push it into the driveway, so I can clear out some more room, so I can actually work on it. It just fits in the garage with the toolbox and shelf behind it. 2 car garage, but 65 is taking up the other half.
My plan, move the 65 into the driveway and tarp it for the summer, slide the 66 over into the middle of the garage, lots of room to work on it.
Just to get it running again, I need to replace a brake line, Master Cylinder and find the gas leak at the rear of the car.
Want to pull the interior (again) and properly replace the floor under the drivers feet so the carpet lays down properly. Then I can slide in the new carpet, swap out the dash for one that isn't cut up (cut the center bar from the radio area to fit in a new deck 25 years ago).
Got a good replacement from a parisienne a while back, just need to buy new wood grain inserts for it.
Next winter I can get the seats redone.
Looks like I need to make a todo list. Typing this far, thinking of all the things, i'm tired already LOL! yawn
Will take some pics and post later today of the cars in the garage.
On the up side, found about $7 in beer bottles...smile

Both still require a lot of work.

All the best on checking things off the to do list. I wrote one up for myself. Might not get it all done but at least it's written down and i don't have to try to remember the things i want to get done.

My wife set up my to do list on my car on the computer. I can add stuff or mark it as done. No more looking for pieces of paper that have chicken scratches on it

I make lots of lists so I don't forget. But then I forget to check the lists.

Photos Posted!

Posting links for current garage um, situation.

Want to move the last old server out of the garage, move the 2 bags of top soil around back, pour out old oil (into jug). Fill up flat tire. And finally, push car into driveway and tarp for the night. (don't want the neighbors crying fowl!).
Then the real work begins. Empty the garage of non-car items. Need to leave my tool box, work-bench and radio. LOL.
Thinking about putting up some drywall and painting, maybe coating or sealing the concrete. But then I'd rather just start doing some stuff to the cars.
Repair a gas leak then repair the brakes on the 66, that should get it moving on it's own. Will make life much easier for me and torture for the neighbors. Still running open headers.
When I get it running, I'll see if I can record it and post it on youtube or something.
Ok, got to get out there and get started. got to find a beer first! LOL

Hmm, they didn't show up as links.
Looks like the old copy and paste works.

When you post links, most always hit the space bar after you paste and it should highlite/turn blue... Just give it a try on your old post to see how it works!!!
And if you want to set a link with just a photo and not the album, copy the direct link instead of the email and Im. It will have an "i435" instead of the "s435" like you have above..................
