Hotel was also a populor term here in Manitoba and Pub, We could also drink at a social but thats not a watering hole.

Hmm, when in Manitoba, I think we used to get our beer from the hotel, didn't really go drinking, too smart for that, we'd buy a case or two and go home.
It was almost always The Green Brier on Main Street.

Got pretty drunk at the Brier a few times. Not to popular since a guy got killed there a few years back
