4 bolt main, 350 block


best bang for the buck, I have a 4 bolt main( buddy just dropped it off ) what should I do?
2000 in parts and machine is the budget or with in reason. as much hp as possiable.


pleaseee help with the ideas.

Save more money, then build better later. If you can't wait, put money into the bottom end, and wait till you have more cash. It depends on how much time and how crazy you want to go.

the reason I set a 2000 limit is I can get a prebuilt 383 right now off a guy in the peg. or a 355 for 1750.

In the past, I've spent nearly 2G on getting a set of GM heads done.

66 Grande Parisienne, 2dr HT, 327 4bbl, Auto.

Had the 66 since about 83 and the 65 since 88.
Both still require a lot of work.

Those top end kits are good value and HP  for the money. Was thinking of something like that for my 350. Would be even better on a 383. I am in the same problem as Icon. Not sure if I want a 355 or build a 383. Those 383 rotating assy are down in price and have more torque than the 355. What to do what to dohmm.gif

I have another 350 I can use for crank rods ect, should keep the costs down. still up in the air if I leave it until fall I'll have more time( new 45,000 garage should be up and 4 post hoist ) will make this project alot more fun.
