Okay from those with more experience. I need your opinions on how bad you think the quarter is before I do anything further.
The quarter panel on the driver side was the bad spot on my car. I don't know how rotted/bad it is. What do you think? Does it need a new quarter? Anyway of telling besides sanding the quarter down/ media blasting it?
Would appreciate any opinions. Thanks

It's even hard to find a whole quarter for the car. I found a quarter on JCwhitney, but its hard for me to beleive it actually fits for the car. They said it does and it only costs $120.
If it needs a 1/2 quarter, can they(body shop/ metal fabricator) make something that'll fit? Would it cost a lot?

What model of car is it? It looks bad you need as much as you can buy Most older experienced body men can do as much as you need Check with a friend in your area ,who has had work done and see what it is like...
From another perspective, how much is it bothering you? How much do you have or want to spend? If you are a perfectionist I guess it's bad but maybe you aren't and can live with it.
I can go without it, it just bugs me slightly. I don't want to pay so much now, if its a good price, if it costs high though, then I will just wait. The rest of the car is fairly in good shape, its just that panel and an area in the trunk that needs attention.
maybe find another 1968 an a battery powered saws-all. I shipped a guy a rear tail section to Maine for $89 Greyhound. It sure expands where you can look.
Check with auto parts places like Carquest. They may be able to get repair panels for you (that would save you from buying from the states). Cross Canada is one company that has a large number of repair panels. I think you can get them thru Carquest
I haven't heard of Carquest. I will check them out. I have heard of Cross Canada though, and they had told me they can't get me the panels for the car.
