I was only 4-5 years old, my sister was born in 69, I still remember waiting impatiently for her at my grandparents house, mom's parents. I probably started playing with my matchbox cars and looking at rearend of 60's chevelles-beaumonts... jacked wayyyyyyyy up in the air and getting woked up by burnouts and loud engines at night LOL ! I remember full size 64 Impalas, parisiennes and Chrycos all over the place, they were popular family cars for a long time...
Where was I in 1969? I was dazzling some kids in the neighbourhood.
Yes, I was young and stupid. Those are SS emblems on the hood, and the gills are painted black to match the hood. And, those are '68 rally centres. But, that's okay, I got much more stupid as the years went by.
By the way, those kids are now about 50 years old. None of them ever had to yell, "CAR". They always heard me coming.
Thats the same car? now red???? 40 years? I had mine in 74 427-425 Wood wheel side pipes leather almost 90 in second, 115, in 3rd $5200.00 -----------------------------------------------------------------------

I was one of these kids in '69...just a different Corvette and town..
I remember well the first '68 body style I saw and all of us kids in the neighborhood followed the guy home on our bikes.. No rides but he let us all climb in and out of the car and besides the new look we were most freaked out over the 160 Speedo!.

I was 6 years old. In a park near us the trees where planted close together like a maze. We'd ride are bikes in there and try to line up anybody for a T bone. Boy I still remember my father blasting my older brother for wrecking my sister's new bike.
Great period pics Dave, thanks for posting, I was only 15 then and eye balling up the 63 Parisienne conv. next door. It would be a couple of more years before I owned it.
