To me the individaul names don't matter because the Chapter is Canadian Specialty, for cars built and sold by Pontiac. This is contained in the constitution of the chapter which has been delivered to each Charter member to read.
In reality names are confused all of the time with makes and models, Originally there was the Pontiac Laurentian Parisienne which was an option package on the Laurentian, there was also the Pontiac Parisienne Custom Sport again an option package on the Parisienne, there was the Acadian Beaumont Sport Deluxe, then the Beaumont was spun off to be the midsize car sold by Pontiac, and the Acadian continued on as the compact, in 70 and 71 you will find the Acadian in Sales Brochures titled Pontiac mixed in with Tempests, Parisiennes Safaris and what not. Documents from Vintage Services list Pontiac Beaumonts and sometimes Beaumonts and sometimes Acadian Beaumonts all depending on when they were produced.
The only constant is these Canadian cars be them models or lines were sold by Pontiac in Canada. That is what distinguishes them from US Pontiacs. I think this is why the chapter was formed and I haven't even mentioned the uniquely Canadian GMC/Pontiac Sedan Deliveries and two door wagons.
Just an observation on the indian head, just noticed it was used on Canadian pontiacs in the 60's . The 64 Laurentian high beam indicator . Wonder what year they dropped this ?

Our 65 had it, I'd bet 66 was the last year for the indian head high beam indicator.

I liked the one that was produced just few days ago with the POCI logo in the middle with, Beaumont and Acadian crests on either side of the leaf. Any one else like it too, it I think represensts at best all of our cars in just about every era. And reflects that those cars are Canadian built. I say that one is good to go!
