new guy from Londesborough.....

Hey all,   I am very glad I found this site!!  Good info on Canadian cars is hard to find.  My name is John and I am in the works of ressurecting a 1972 Pont. Lemans.  Nothing fancy, but will be a fun car to cruise with the kids in!!

Welcome !

I got one of these too, what engine and drivetrain is in yours ? What style ? Sport, Luxury, T37...buckets-console ? Mine is a 1972 Luxury Lemans Sport coupe with YS 400/7K3 heads, Qjet dual snorkels, dual exhaust...same as GTO, turbo 400, 12 bolt 3.31 Anaconda gold with white and black interior, white buckets console, black dash, steering wheel and carpet...numbers matching Oshawa car. Still needs lots of work and I will ad a posi, swaybar and boxed rear control arms...

OK, thank you all for the response......bear with me here and I will try to get a pic loaded up from when it was purchased.

PONTORQUER,  the Lemans I have is a bare to the bones model.....It is wilderness green metallic, green bench seat interior, column shift, 350 small block chev, and I believe Oshawa built car!!!

68SD, what do you mean by register it???? where do I  go to do so......help me out and I will!!!!!!!!

427Carl, amazing how small  a world it is.....did your daughter just move to the village not to long ago???? I know if it is the place I am thinking, it was purchased not so long ago.  I am on the North end of town, 4 houses east of the old small engine shop!!!!  Where in Clinton are you located????

As for the car it is currntly undergoing an amatuer resurection, as in to say I am an amatuer, and it is the first time I have used a welder!! As of current I have had the car 2 yrs. and have welded in replacement main floors, under rear seat floor, misc. patches, half inner wheel house on pass. side, full inner wheel house on drivers, both outer trunk pans, and driverside trunk drop off!!!!!  I am currently starting to work on cleaning up the frame so I can paint it and roll it back in the garage to bolt the pair back together before winter arrives!!!!!  The car will be upgraded a bit as I go, as I don't have the original small block, I have another with HEI, Edelbrock intake, holley.....nothing fancy.......and it is bolted to a 700r4.  I plan on upgading to a posi, but that will be much further in the future!!!!!!!!!!

Chat soon..........John

Thanks Carl,

For the most part I have the majority of the car here, alot of it was in the car when I purchased it, or the bed of the pickup!!!!!  It would be great to meet you sometime!!!!  Let me know anytime you may be coming this way.....John
