Ran into a friend of mine a few weeks ago, modest guy. Got chatting about how his winter had gone and he informed me he had picked up a boat from Florida during the winter. We didn't have a whole lot of time but I knew he needed to replace his previous boat because it had sunk. Today at the car show it was there. I was a little shocked. 44 feet long with a top speed of 130 m.p.h.. Two engines producing over 1000 h.p. each. Will see if I have enough balls to ask for a ride this summer. My car has a 194 six so speed hasn't been a part of my life the last few years.

That's a quarter million dollar boat! They ran a Poker run on Georgian Bay for years and 40 of these things woyud show up at our town dock, just nuts !
My Yamaha GP1200R ran at 113 Kph when new and you feel safe because you are the one controling the power. Took a ride in a race boat 30 years back and he ran it over 80 mph and I almost soild my self at the time. The boat would go a good bit over 100 mph
Even 60 mph on water seems fast. I had a Liberator 26 with 2x350 Magnums with a top speed of just over 60 and that was plenty quick for me. A friend has a 38ft Formula with 2x525 supercharged big blocks that he let me pilot up to about 80 mph before I backed off. Lake Erie gets choppy and can be very rough handling at those speeds so I chicken out.
