I found a guy in B.C who is going to make me a set of pipes for the a4u this week! Not cheap (800$) but they are an exact copy right down to the 70 chevelle tips with a set of custom headder dump plugs. They have done 4 or 5 sets already. I found this guy through a collector (has 3 or 4 of these cars) should be here in a couple of weeks!
Did these cars come from the factory with 70 Chevelle exhaust tips? I would have thought GM would have discontinued that part long before 87.
Nope, this was an over the counter gm part with # for the racers. They were built in camberadge by Walker exhaust. You would think I could get them to build it right? No luck as nobody was interested in giving it a shot. Ah well I'm getting closer to the build every day.
