i have noticed there are 2 different type of letters
1 mine are seperated about one inch apart held by a straight metal line that runs under the letters B E A U M O N T imagine a straight line under these letters
i have seen on other models , an aluminium stamped plate with the same type of letters
can anyone tell me more about the two types
why one type why the other type , is this a mid year change or something else ?????

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
you also have to add the 736 vin SDs which came with them.... but these are now the rarest 67sd pieces, since everything else is now reproduced... very very hard to find!

there was a spare set in the trunk of the blue SD-I was holding them for a while but sold them via E-Bay 4 years ago to Ron -I think they were around $600-lots to me at the time but cheap to someone who needs them.
I would like to know where I could find this chrome trim around the Beaumont under the trunk lid too. Anyone have any ideas where I might be able to pick one up or is there someone who manufactures them? I talked to DT Stainless but I don't have a sample to give him.
be nice to make an SD set-see how they work out in stainless-surely they would sell
There is a guy here in Kelowna that has had a couple made up, look very nice. I have passed his number on to a couple guys on here, I think one for sure followed through. Think it was running around $1200, but try getting something like that refurbished and see what it will cost you.
Great picture Ken, showing the 3 trim lines on the rear of the 67's, the base model, the custom, and the SD (the SD having the custom 'ring' with 2 trim peices top and bottom on the inside of the custom trim)....
I also wonder what happened to the green SD clone... it certainly looked like a nice car for the money... you would think it would show up at some Vancouver shows!!

p.s Captain B, if i sent away the SD trim to be used as a sample, i'd be sure to have a contract in place for their return and a damage guarantee...probably in the range of $3-5k... a little bit of incentive to take care of them!
