Hello everybody,

I (my Wife and I) have just purchased a 1970 Pontiac Acadian 230 6 cylinder.  It is a beautiful car, and a pleasure to drive.

I can't wait to hit the car shows, hope to see others there!

Welcome! Your car looks gorgeous! I hope you don't mind but I supersized your photo and imbedded it in my post. What part of Ontario are you from?

We are in Hamilton, the midway point for Toronto, or Niagara Falls.
I had to downsize the original picture to upload it (or so I thought) and that is why it was so small.  I'll get the hang of it!

Thank you all for the welcome!

I have had a few of these cars, each one a Nova, and V8's.  Over the years, I have had a 62 Chevy II, 68,69,71,72,74, and a 78.

I am hooked on old cars, and have had a 67 GTO, 71 Chevelle, 66 Mustang Coupe, and right now have a 1930 Plymouth U in the garage.

Trish, my wife, wanted a new car, and so she found the acadian.  We pought it on the spot.  It has an issue with the carb, wrong base plate, and the timing is out.  Anybody know where to find a vacuum diagram for the 230?

Welcome aboard. I'm sure you will feel at home here very soon.
If you are looking for parts you may want to start a new thread in the parts wanted section. The vacuum diaphram on the carb may still be available at your local auto parts store.

Both still require a lot of work.
