How about a get together BBQ for Canadian Poncho's? I would have it at my home (7 acres) on Highway 6/10 near Owen Sound, car parking on the lawns. The date would be Sat. August 22  (rain day Sun 23rd). A charge of $10 per head for hamburgers, hot dogs, corn, pop, water and a portable toilet. Maybe the ladies could put together a few salads too. I have lots of  room for tents if anyone wanted to stay overnite. BYOB. I would also need at least 1 more BBQ. This is only 5 weeks away sooooo will need confirmation from those that would be coming so as to buy food. How about it fellow CP members? A good chance for us to get to know each other better.regards

Sounds fantastic Chris, I plan to be there.  A good chance for many of us to finally meet in person.  I think I will probably take advantage of the camping opportunity, I suspect some of us will  be able to talk CP well into the night!  Is a campfire a possibility?  Just need to know whether to bring marshmellows.biggrin

I'm off that weekend so i'll see what the plans are around here. I wouldn't mind making the trip...farthest i'll have taken the car on a round trip. I'd consider bringing my tent to stay over Saturday night.

I'm not a camper but if Hillar is in I'll at least have a support vehicle to convoy with one way. Looks like a 3 hour drive, pretty sure the LeMans can make it.

It's not a company thing about calling in sick on a Saturday, it's the poor other advisor that has to write up 60 repair orders! I wouldn't want it done to me! We are often more busy on a Saturday than through the week (and during the week we run 4 advisors).

At this point I can't commit but this sounds like it has the making of a good day.
Know I have a concert Friday nite and a corn roast on Sunday.
It's only an hour drive so is a real possibility.

Hey Chris;    I met a man from Owen Sound today, and he was telling me, he had never seen, such a big ugly white car, as minebiggrin  He said he was into35 Chevs and had a 6 door Pontiac (84 Parisienne)??? 20,OOO KM   I said you should look at Ponch website and come to BBQ!!   He was driving his new ride, a copper Lincoln Mk 5  I told him your name, and how you were the man at Cdn Chapter of POCI... and he said he knew you, and I think he said you were a nice guy   Carl
