Around here in southern Ontario, especially in the Niagara region you would always find older sedans with the bodies stripped and a flatbed behind the cowl. They would leave just the hood, fenders and cowl, then have a wooden flatbed . The driver would sit on the front edge of the flatbed, but they weren't about the driving. they were about having a mobile stand to work from when picking fruit from the trees and loading them straight into bushels which were placed on deck. Does anyone out there remember this once common sight?
