Started a house this week for a client that has a pretty solid base. Never had one on quite this much rock, thought you guys might be interested in seeing it. Happens to be right in the area where the first houses were lost in the 03 fire and you can see the smoke from the big fire across the lake. The house is a little over a 100 feet up from the roadway on a 10 acre parcel. Sort of a neat challenge.
We are actually pinning it right on the rock. It slopes off enough that he can have around 2200 sq. ft. of walk out basement and part of the rock he will leave exposed for his wine cellar. Top floor is around 3300 ft set on a 45 degree angle so I think it's gonna look sort of cool up there. If you know of anyone who is looking for a place to get a good suntan send them my way. It's a cooker, no shade for a couple months.
May I ask what street that is on I have some friends that are above mcollough station Near the tressels at Myra canyon That doesnt look to far from them

I'd like to see the progress and eventual finished project. Kind of reminds me of Frank Lloyd Wright and his Falling Water home that he designed...without the water fall going through it of course. That place will have a spectacular view too!

It's off Rimrock road which is about 10-12 kilometers south as the crow flies from Myra canyon but it is pretty well the same rock shelf that follows along there. Engineer was there today and I won't say a whole lot more. The owner is wondering if we should get a second opinion. Between him and I we've seen quite a few structures and I'll tell you it just gets worse every year on how they cover their butt. You'd think they calculated the pressure of the Hoover dam against that foundation. Anyhow it will be a good weekend and we'll hit it fresh on Monday.
