Show & Tell 1

Today I mounted up my Pirelli P215/70R-15 tires on my American Racing chrome/aluminum 15x7's   Barb loves chrome wheels   doesn't care what kind...disbelief  I am going to raise front up 1.5 inches, as headers hit curbscry   I took a photos of car sitting normal?  at 24 inches to bottom of fender lip  and a photo of car at 25.5 inches  I am old school, and like a car "up"   The car came with P215/65R15 ON on front and P235/60R15 on rear     I like the chrome wheel look, and the 70series actuallY raised the front a "inch", BUT tires RUB on frontno   So it soundS like use exising tires, on chrome? polished TT?

Those new rims won't last long going up over curbs. How many pedestrians have to get out of the way when you come along biggrinbiggrin

One of these days your going run into a deaf guy.
Their in your windsheild and since their arms are pinned......You won't understand what they're saying.
That happened here. Someone hit an old East Indian fellow as his head was sticking thru the window. they kept driving and parked the car in the garage with this guy still in  the windowconfuseconfuseconfuse

You can do what I do when there is a small interference - get out the sawzall and trim that fender lip a wee bit on the inside only - if you're careful you will not cut into the outside edge and will keep the same appearance as before. Can you tell where I trimmed here?

Rear_wheels.jpg

(I enhanced the brightness and contrast of this photo so the flat black car stands out better against the black tires)

I did that on my 66 Chevelle too when I went to fat tires (although the exact place I had to trim was different).

However if yours rubs on the inner wheel well this trick won't help, then you might need wheels with different offset?

I know what you meant. I have the same problem as you. I hit on speed bumps and dips in the road.
I was just giving you the gears
