Stratford Ontario Car Show Pics

There was an excellent turn out today at the Stratford Car show. It was a little warmer than the show held earlier in the summer! Pics are in no particular order.

The show field:

Heavy Chevy clone for sale. Very clean:

Super straight Nova:

Cool flathead powered rod:

Check out the hood on this 427 Caprice (4 speed too)

This Biscayne was a diamond in the rough. The headliner was half gone, the seats had mismatched covers but what a cool car this could be!

This was a first for me- a supercharged Stude flat 6!

The owner of this Beaumont wasn't around so I couldn't get a cowl tag pic:

However, I talked to the owner of this super clean 69 Beaumont:

StratfordAug0913.jpg

Yes, the spots aren't for me however they have sentimental value- they were on his first car. This Beaumont sold new at London Motor Products. The original owner was 69 when she bought it. The current owner bought it in 1989 with 40000 miles on it. Only "restoration" has been paint. Owner is on again, off again about selling it. I have his number. He does not own a computer.

I got stuck behind some old guy in an old Pontiac sedan on the way home. To top it off, I think he needed a muffler- it was pretty loud. biggrin

Great photos of beautiful cars, Todd. Thanks.

That's a $US3,500.00 hood right there.......

As you know, it belongs on a SS427, not a Caprice.

Yep. That's why I took the pic. I wonder where he scored it from.

Oh, and by the way, Todd, thanks for pressing ENTER after each photo so we don 't have to scroll right to the East Coast to see all those photos.

I bought the same hood to put on my 67 427 Caprice. I know its not correct but it is a cool looking hood!

Todd, did you notice the rally wheels on that Strato? I believe they have trim rings on them....

I ALWAYS do that with my photos, yet it ends up spread across the page in any event.  So what is the big secret in getting them display down instead of across?

Hillar,

Try pressing ENTER twice after each photo. I find this is sometimes required. And, to see if it works before you actually submit the post, click on the SHOW PREVIEW button.

I'm going to need help with this one.....

Flathead six. I can see three intake (each probably split in two after entering the block) but I see four exhaust.

Huh? Does #1 cylinder get its own exhaust, while #2 and #3 share; #4 and #5 share, and then #6 gets its own? There has to be something I'm missing here. evileye

I DO do that, and it still doesn't display like it showed in the preview.

I started a separate test thread to keep this out of Todd's thread.

I don't know about the exhaust, but the supercharger is off a 3.8 V6 Ford. I still have the air intake pipe for my old one.
