Hey Lemans64, glad you replied. It reminded me I need to ask you a question. Would you do me a favour and tell me where the horns are mounted on your 64? I sold my 64 a few years ago. My friend who purchased it called me today. He is re-assembling it and can't figure out where the horns mount. Is it somewhere on the front bumper brackets or some place unusual like that?

Yes they are on the front bumper brackets. I do believe they mount to the outside, Mine are off right now due to paint, and bumper rechrome. I will run out and look at brackets, possibly even have diagram.
This is my set up. not sure if correct but works for me. Wires run through the hole along with the turn signal wires. Last image is the right side bracket. I have the high note on the right and low on left.

Excellent. Thank you very, very much. That will solve a major headache for him. He is tearing his hair out over this one. I took that car apart SO long ago I couldn't remember it clearly at all.

Just let me know if u have any other issues that I might be able to help out with. If I remember correctly the right wires goes out the right turn signal wire hole.
Buddy was telling me on the weekend that his ol' man got pinched last week by the boat Police for having no life jacket while on his paddle boat.. The crazy thing was he was only floating about 15' out in front of his own cottage checking the water intake line when they swooped in on him.. Safety 1'st!.

We had an auditor from GMAC at the dealership yesterday. He has a cabin about 1/2 hour from our's. Long story short, last weekend he noticed a boat not far from his shore, nobody in it. Went to investigate and found the guy overboard, tired right out. The guy had the presence of mind to take the rope from the front of the boat and tie himself to the boat cause he was too tired to swim and wasn't able to climb into the boat. As far as I know, no alcohol involved either.
We do NOT go in any boat without wearing a life jacket. Not just "it's along in the boat", it's on us. That includes our son who is currently taking his first year of lifeguarding instruction. He is an excellent swimmer. I don't care how good a swimmer anyone is, there is a reason they call them "accidents". A simple injury or cramp can finish off the best swimmer in the world. Years ago, a friend of mined drowned swimming in a gravel pit. He cramped up and that was the end of him.

We had a " Could have been bad" boating accident here over the weekend, late at night, One boat sitting in the middle of the lake with 9 kids playing a board game, Appearently with lights on, 2 other boat appearently racing home, in the dark, did not see the boat sitting and one of the boats hit it broad side. Fortunetly no serious injurys came of it, but it could have been real bad. The moving boat went right over the sitting boat. Major damage to both boats. I'm sure the sitting boat had too many people on it for it's size as well.
Thanks Carl and Lemans64 for the information on the location of the horns on a 64 Lemans. It came just in time as there isn't much hair left. I wouldn't have guessed it.
I appreciate the offer regarding further issues. I'm sure there'll be some. I have just purchased the elusive 1964 wiring diagram if that is of any use, also a 1964 parts car.

Your welcome OLDGOAT. I also have the wiring diagram, I also bought one off ebay that was coloured and laminated, it makes a lot difference when trying to read it. I bought a new engine harness and tail light harness, but repaired the dash harness due to exspense. My car is at the bodyshop right now, but I can help out as I have had it all apart once before.
Another good site for more Lemans stuff is PY Online Forums. Don't mean to chase u from here as that is not my intentions. Information is what it is all about.
We were just out that way last weekend. Went to my cousins wedding north west of S'toon, had no time to go snooping for stuff though. There was a wrecker on Hwy 16 around Leslie Sk that had tons of old cars, gonna stop there next time for sure.
I've not forgotten nor abandoned that project. This summer has been a mixture of fun and tough times. Fun in the 7 trips to the lake so far! Tough times in that whole flood/work situation. I am trying to say that the desire is still there. However, other projects are priority before it. It will be this winter.
Now, please, please, please can I buy another car????? Huh, huh, huh, can I, can I, can I, can I??????
