So it's 3:30pm and i'm sitting at the laptop in the kitchen looking at another Saturday of wonderful rain.  Needless to say i didn't go to Bothwell.  What a disappointment.  At least i got the car out this past week a few days.  Tomorrow i may tackle the roof on my shed.  First roofing job i've thought of attempting.  If weather is bad tomorrow then it will be a two or three or four day project during the week in the morning before work.  Wish me luck...hope i don't break a leg!wink  Oh, and as you can imagine, no Bothwell pics to show...unless you want to see rain falling outside my window.  Of course if you're in the London area you know of what i speak.

its a real bummer!! i was going to a show here in town(london) at hartmans auto, a garage across from kellogs. 3 bands, food, and a whole whack of hot rods, rat rods, and some kustoms too im sure. I was talking to the one mechanic the other day and he said just get my car there, dont worry about getting it home, they'll fix it if something is messed up. (i was telling him my dist. wiring issues and such). Im getting sick of the rain!!!!!

i went to bothwell ..... it was wet

attendance was at less then half of last years turnout
50/50 was at $2700 - last year was over $ 12,000

I saw a bunch of old cars on the 401 this morning while I was heading to work. I was all bummed out until I saw the rain come... Not a good summer to plan anything..

looks to be a wet day for the Niagara on the Lake show. Really feel for these guys getting rained out almost every year. Going to leave the Shelby in the garage and take the HHR SS down. There will be a few die hards show up. Time to build an Ark or buy an Amphi car.

I left home at 7:30  got there at 9:30   didnt rain until 10:30  and left at 2:30 and got home at 4:30  RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN......Met a nice fellow (Wayne) with nice 69 Beaumont...  I scored a nice Acadian emblem in swap meet (NOS)  and saw some nice cars....Carl

good show of pontiacs few nice beaumonts-wonder if the silver 66 is the one from the Colburg area via Chatham-if so its a great body-went to look prior to restoration.

I was volenteered (:P) to work in one of the food booths(cairo united church - my inlaws church ... good burgers & a nice bucnh of people ) -- but since it wasnt busy i was able to walk around all day in the rain ..

i thought it was still a nice turn out considering the rain .. & there was still a good turn out in the swap meet ( more junk for sale then useable parts ...... and whats with jewllery being sold at car show swap meets ???)

bothwell is always good for the whole gammut of cars --- from junk to top dollar stuff
all in one spot

did anyone else see what happened to " sundowner" -- burned to the ground what a sight
it was a big wood building that went up flames really quickly - i wish i had brought my camera to show the damage
