So I'm out to do an appraisal this afternoon in Fort Erie-once finished I drive over to see the 63 Pontiac posted on kijiji for $4000-a little tougher than I expected so I begin to leave-the owner comes out-nice guy so we talk a while-he shows me it was appraised at $3500 so he thought he'd start at $4,000 to get its value at $3500-hmmm now doesn't this make sense ? its always appraised at $6,000 asking $4000 !-when they appraise my house at $150,000 I tack on 6% real estate fees and a few grand to negotiate and ask $164,900. I have to admit this is the first time I've look at a car and the owner used this logic and its correct.
i always ask $500 more then i want .... so when joe blow offers me $500 less ...... not only does he think he's stealin it from me ... i end up getting what i wanted anyways
