One of these just sold the other day on evil pay.  Are you the lucky new owner?

I like it because it shows us that the 265 small block painted green.

I did get it on Ebay but it was a few months ago. I'm quite pleased as it is in really good condition.  I'm thinking about getting it scanned for all to enjoy. Don't have a scanner myself but one of my nieces or nephews might.

That would be great because the only one we have posted for 56 is a dutch version, rare but we don't know what it says, also only offered 261 in export models. Even a good colour copy would be ok if you don't have a scanner you could mail the copy to someone who does.

Yeah a scan would really help me trying to understand whether I should advise my brother with the 56 four door hardtop laurention to hang on to it or not.

(the 56 four door thread)

Did you give up on scanning this brochure? I would be quite interested in seeing it and having a copy to look at on my computer. I have a 1956 Pathfinder and a 56 Laurentian. So this brochure would be great to read and look at. I did get the copies of the one from the Netherlands.

I just ordered (from a Canadian guy through evilbay) an ad that shows BOTH Canadian models (Pathfinder and Laurentian) and US model (Star Chief) on the same page!!! Here's a little version, I will post a big version when I get it (some day ... it's coming Canada Post, eh).

IF you look close you can see the difference in front fender outline, CAN versus US.

Wasn't '56 the strike year when Oshawa production was severely cut, so GM brought in cars (and trucks?) from south of the border?

Interesting, very low production year then.  My bro is getting very interested in his Canadian 56 Laurentian 4 door hardtop (black with yellow interior 265 3 speed)
so this will be even more motivation to get the rare beast up and running.

Good to know!

Wow! Cool news video. Didn't know they preserved them and had them available for viewing from over 50 years ago. Thanks!

Yes very cool, took me back to the many times I was on strike in the railway. Can be a nasty bussiness.
