I went on Friday night and started at the top in Pontiac. I made it as far down as Birmingham before it got too congested.
That was ok, Pontiac was fun. The fans on the street were crazy, egging the cruisers for burn-outs, which most obliged. There were some cool Pontiac-only car shows/gatherings along the route, but nobody waved me in.
Actually had a guy chastise me for not having the original 421 in the car. I didn't have time or temperment to explain the "396" emblem on the fender.
I'm glad I went on Friday night. Saturday would have been a scorcher, I'm sure.

Too bad about that. Would have been nice to let him know what you had but didn't sound like an open minded guy anyway. You probably made the right call.
More of the Madness! When the sun goes down the fun starts! Sorry for the picture quality, next year I will be taking the video cam for moving pics and sound! Basically this part of Woodward gets turned into a giant 3 lane wide burn-out box! So much tire smoke at times it was like the worst fog you have ever been in but it smelt much better!
Hillar, did you see the Ford billboard with the '10 Mustang doing a burn out complete with Real Smoke coming off the tire??
You mean the one on the east side of Woodward just north of 13 Mile that used to be a Chevy sign? Went by that a couple of times, some times the wheel was spinning, some times it wasn't. Never saw any smoke though.
