1966 Acadian solid project Questions????

Something New to me always been Beaumonts?

I am looking at a 1966 Acadian and was wondering what it is worth? What should I be looking for? Any bad spots?

Places to look for rust---

-Trunk floor corners right below the tail lights

-Floor supports under the front seats

-Normal spots behind all 4 wheels on fenders and quarters

-Floor pans, especially in front of front seats up in to toe board areas

-Boxy area that surrounds the front eye on the leaf spring

Be aware that they are notorious for poor steering/front ends. Good aftermarket cures are available for whatever may ail it!

This all sounds negative, sorry. Do NOT let me scare you off. I am over 50 now and except for about a 4 year lapse, I have owned a 62-67 Nova or Acadian ever since I got my driver's license. I can hardly imagine not owning one of these cars!

Because Acadian trim, emblems, interior, etc... are not being reproduced, I'd try to find a car with as much of it's Acadian parts that are still intact.
Have a look at these brochures to see what the different models look like.  Click Here

As far as value, can you be more specific about the car?

2dr? Complete? V8 or 6? Overall condition?

Guy has a 283 with the special pan for cross member?? No drive line in it right now. I just happen to have a 283 from a 1967 chevelle available for it also.

Check the rear subframe rails, they are notorious for being rotted. They are being reproduced but require extensive repair$$$$. If you can look at the firewall on both sides, hard to see with the fenders on, but they also rot out.
