Educate me quickly on how to verify a 68 Beaumont SD convertible

While down here at Woodward I met a fellow who claims to have a 68 Beaumont SD convertible.  What info MUST be on the data plate to confirm this?  He mentioned that it has M35 on there which makes me suspicious, shouldn't all SDs this year that are autos be M40?  What about buckets, console, trim package, etc. - is there anything else that would disqualify it?

Thanks.

As far as I know it should have 73867 on the cowl tag in 68.  Please correct me if I am wrong anyone.   Acording to our production thread there were only 65 made.

73867 0n the cowl tag is a V-8 SD rag. M-35 is a powerglide. M-40 is a turbo400. This could be real.

There were a few 68 SDs with the powerglide transmission.
