I looked at a 4 dr wagon today and it looks pretty original, but it doesn't have a boxed frame, weird eh? I'm not very interested in it but could use the clip. The guy wants 1500 and I think thats to much. It has a 283 non-runner in it but the body only has rust around the rear windows and hood lip. I thought a wagon had a El Camino boxed frame under it. What do you think?

Owned many wagons(64).
They do not have boxed frames.

Wagon frame is the same lengh as Elcamino but not boxed. Lots of roof for suport

This a parts car for a wagon guy and it's located on Vancouver Island. If anybodies interested let me know. As for the boxed frame I learned something today.

really?  it should be.. all rags and caminos had boxed frames to support the "no roof structure" issue..  weird.

That's not normal but I have seen exceptions. I found a 64 SD HT with a boxed frame. Strange but true. My 65 El Camino has a boxed frame.
