1955 Pontiac 4 door


Hey.. So happy to have found this site!!!!  We just purchased our first car to restore..

It being a 1955 Pontiac.. we have all the information from the little plate under the hood... sorry, I don't know what to call it...anyway, here is the info, if anyone would be kind enough to decode it, we would certainly appreciate it.

Model 2019D   Laurentian 4 dr sedan

Serial   5= 1955
   2019D= Laurentian 4 DR Sedan
           8= 265 V8
  24699 = Build sequence number of all 1955 Pontiacs built in Canada  (Oshawa)

Engine  V= 265 V eight
22744   Sequence number of 265 V8 built at McKinnion Industries St Catherines includes 265V8 built for Canadian Chevrolet

Body Serial 3688 Sequence number of !955 Laurentian 4 dr sedans

Paint 593  Greystone White   Roof only
                 Carica Yellow        Lower
