Very rare 1953 Pontiac Sedan-Delivery. Apparently only about 200 produced, and very few remain today. This car is in pretty rough shape, but appears to be more or less complete. Since its based on the sedan or station wagon chassis, most parts should not be too hard to find. I've seen NOS trim, for example, on EBay. I would love to restore it, but we're moving and we just won't have the space for it. We're asking $4,000, but we haven't the slightest idea what this car might be worth. I've never seen one listed in Hemmings, EBay, or anywhere else. All offers will be considered.

I know two guys that come to mind quickly that might like that, One already has a 53 and the other has a nice 57 and 55 in progress. Not sure how often they look here so I'll e-mail them.

Hi guys,  I'm the guy selling the Delivery in the ad.

We had no real response last summer, so I'm dropping the asking price by half.  $2000, and it's gotta be gone soon, so my pencil is sharp.  It seems to be mostly complete, including most of the trim.  The floor especially needs a lot of work, as well as rocker panels, front fenders, etc.  No real damage to the body, just rust and a couple of minor dents.  If it was a sedan it would be a basket case, but these seem to be pretty rare.  I've read anywhere between a couple hundred to 1300-ish units made in '53.  I've had it for 13 years, 10 of which it was garaged.  At this point, I'm in no position to do anything with it, and I want to see someone give it some proper treatment.  It's stored at my Dad's place right now, and they want to move by Winter.

I'll post another ad on Craigslist and a few other sites soon, but feel free to contact me in this thread or via PM.

I'll attach a pic of the beast for those interested- more available if you want.

Andrew
