Wow, until I saw this I had owned the only documented K66 Canadian Poncho I'd ever seen or heard of. I knew there had to be more but didn't think I'd see papers for a K66 Beaumont.
How cool is that car!!!
Oh, by the way Carl, I don't see the "flags" on the documents.....!!!

Well, that's 3 K66 cars in 66 now. I had a Grande Parisienne 396 4 speed with it, and two Beaumonts. Gotta be one of the rarest 66 options don't you think?

Back in '66 the 396 cars got the same V8 emblems as would a 283 or 327 car. There was really no difference on the outside of the car. The original owner added the cross flags to our car when he had it. They didn't come with the American Chevelle SS hood either.
Too bad the cowl tag picture is blurry.... Can't see enough to get into decoding it.
What you can see of the car tells me its a nice survivor of the 70's when they were just considered another car to own and drive.
The flags emblem for the 396 V8 were added later either by the dealer or a previous owner, never seen an unmolested factory 66 or 67 Beaumont SD with the 396 flags emblem.
The Transistor Ignition is a very rare option as I' ve never seen a car with it. This past weekend I was talking to a guy (at the Langley Cruise In) whose on this site who has a 66 Beaumont SD with the K66 option. He asked me if I thought it was a rare option and I told him it was.
