GM collection in Florida

Hey WOW !

Look at this collection!

This guy has just got too much money ......

Car Collection

Try to guess what the value of this collection might be?
Would you live in
Florida with this stuff in your garage... awaiting the next hurricane? Poor Guy.

Punta Gorda is 50 miles north of Naples, Florida and there lives a guy with an amazing GM collection

I would assume that most of those never see the light of day. That is a bit excessive for a collection!

WAIT!!!  frustrated.gif     What am I saying??? How could there be such a thing as collecting too many cars.......

My wife and I visited the "Muscle Car Museum", as it is now known, in Punta Gorda, FL, April of this year.  The building opened to the public on March 1st, I believe.  We heard about it from several residents of the RV park where we stayed last year.
It is a great venue with a very large building, old K-Mart, I was told with a huge parking lot.  The Sunday we were there a Corvette Club chapter from somewhere in central florida was using the parking lot for a show.  We wandered through the parking lot looking at 50-60 vettes on hand and then had lunch in the diner located in the Museum.  Following lunch we toured the museum floor but we were a little disappointed to see only 4-5 Chevy II/Nova/Acadian vehicles on display.
Many of the cars appear to have been bought as older restorations and just left that way.  A number of the cars were modified to some extent and no attempt to correct them to originality.
I really didn't pay much attention to the vette's but the GTO's were nice and a decent display of Chevelle's.
It really presents it's self as being an opportunity to turn a private collection into a tax write off.
It just appears, the owner never really worked on any of the vehicles, just bought them as-is and parked them in his building.  Jay Leno he is not, but to each his own.
We did enjoy the day and seeing the cars, I just don't think I saw anything I hadn't seen before.
