You guys may be tired of seeing me post these by now, but I can't get enough of it! Day after day of this......... Out of 8 days there, I think 7 nights were similar to this.

Absolutely. Sometimes I want to cut down more trees so we can see more of the lake but other times it feels so cozy being on the deck or looking out the living room windows, while nestled in the trees.

One of my relatives from southern Alberta lived at our cottage for quite a while this summer. He commented that the lakes in Alberta just don't have the beauty that the northwest Ontario area has. Also my brother from the Kootenay valley spent about 10 days at our place and he says our lake is just as clear as most of the mountain lakes. I would never have guessed that. Our lake is close to perfect as far as the water but those mountain streams and lakes always seem so pure to me.

It's called Little Gordon lake, about 25 miles east of Kenora on the north side of the Trans Canada.

Off grid so we use propane and solar to keep life normal.

To me it's one of the most beautiful areas I've ever seen and I've been through most of Canada, US and a good chunk of Mexico.

Our neighbour knows exactly which mushrooms are safe to eat and which ones make you look like this imslow.gif !!!We leave this in the wild to be safe!

Andrew, we don't have a canoe there yet but we are talking about a kayak possibly. The place came with a small sailboat which we are planning to sell.
