Thanks for the production number info. It is much appreciated. I was asking because there is either a 68 or a 69 Beaumont wagon sitting in someone's back yard here in PR. I was close enough one time to notice that it had 350 badges on the fenders, but can't remember what year it was. It is just sitting in the back 40 under an orange tarp. The owner doesn't live here and just has the car sitting there.

Wow - as a newbie to the forum quite amazed at the interest in the old Beaumont's.  I am thinking I need to change the fluids and get the 67 on the road.  Also thinking about some new ARE torque thrusts - what do folks think in terms of size and color?

If i was you i would keep it stone stock.  That is one of the nicest wagons ive seen.

Can i suggest changing over to the small dogdish caps and black steel rims.

A bit of info about the Beaumont wagon - my dad bought it 2nd hand from a chap who bought it to tow a small airstream - the 283 was too small so he sold it after about 6 months.  My dad bought it and drove it to and from work for years - never used it to tow anything or use it for a garbage run.  He use to wash it every week for as long as I could remember.  Learned to drive in it and all I recall is him saying make sure you have nothing sharp in the pockets - don't want to rip the upholstery.  I belive the front license place is original.

It has never been in an accident or had an ICBC claim.  Numbers matching and the motor has about 100K original miles or so.  All he ever did to it was have the transmission shifing adjusted and the carb dismatnelted and cleaned.

There are a few issues with the car - the back glass shattered one day and he found a replacement but unforatunelty it had a few scratches (anyone have a mint one for sale??).  The chrome fender well strip one side is a 7 and would be great to replace (anyone make this part?).  And the only other thing is somebody bumped the driver mirror and he found a very nice repalcement - it just doesn't attach to the adjustment knob inside on the door.  The cables didn't work.

All for now.

Michael

Wow, that is great story of your car. Nice to hear when a car stays in a family and gets past down. It is in such amazing condition. Most of the wagons left are full of rust and holes. Usually, the wagons didn't have easy lives. Thanks so much for sharing your car with us.

P.S.The fellow who started this thread (chader) will be amazed when he sees your wagon (rrosterdaddy)
