do yourself a favor and list it on ebay.  When I wasn't working about 6 years ago, I was going to throw out a bunch of my 57 parts (as I had sold the car a few years prior) big figured I'd list them on ebay. 

I had a speedo from a standard shift car (so no shift indicator), and I had the Testor's "Flourescent Red" model paint from other stuff.  I took the guages out, painted the needles with the Flourescent Red paint, and listed it.  To my surprise, it sold for $100US.  I figured they weren't all that rare considering every car had one.
