center force clutch

Hi Guys,Has anyone installed a Centerforce II Clutch in anything . I put one in my car this year, Pedal pressure is very easy(compared to my old Hays Competition
Borg&Beck style) It seems to hook up OK,but it hangs up at higher rpm(above7000)
I know the old diaphram clutches  did the same thing. I thought I missed a gear ,but the pedal stayed to the floor.I payed about 350$ for it but it only has 200kms on it, but this is not acceptable.Has anyone had this trouble??????
I thought this was a good set up for streetcars,but I am very  P O ed.

I used the Centre Force Dual Friction 11" and have had over 20,000 miles of trouble free use. Did you follow the instructions for break in ? (mine said no "abuse" until 500 miles) Did you check or resurface the flywheel for straight and the correct gap ? Check the instructions, there is probably a number you can call for technical advice, I am guessing the gap may need adjusting. Only suggestions.

I tried to follow (most) of the instructions,according to the sheets provided.
At low RPM it works fine ,But..........

May need a little more use for break in period.

           I have the same   works mint    I have never taken it over 6500 confuse

I have put a lot of clutches in this car over the decades and it seems that if they dont work
from the start they never work right.Everything in there is new ,or re-surfaced. even did
an M20 over,for the street . I will figure it out eventualy, or put a new Gold Hays in again

had a car years ago, with a stock clutch, diaphram fingers would stick over center at higher rpm.
i adjusted more freeplay in the pedal so it wouldn't push the fingers as far/farther than neccesary.

but yes, a new, performance, brand name clutch should not be doing this.

Hey Todd, We had over 200 cars,also a wildlooking Peterbuilt custom ,a few blown dragsters
a bunch of other drag cars ,a few roudy rounds,tons of hotrods, customs,
and classics. Perfect weather,lots of food&drink,next year should be even better.
