Thought of you right away Ray!

We tooled around Winnipeg a bit after the car show today and it was Fleetwood city today for some reason. Found one seemingly abandoned one too, but nobody around to ask.

I have no trouble getting smoke and about 20 feet of rubber in my Fleetwood. I doubt a 5.0 V8 would be able to but it is easy with the 5.7. It all depends on the skill of the driver. Heck I can do smoke shows second to none with the Suburban...endless smoke. It's all about torque and once you break the rears loose, look out. I shocked a guy in a Corvette in Lafontiane burning out the Fleetwood. I figured there was no way he was getting ahead of me. I think I scared the H out of him so he lifted off! biggrin

This is my favorite version of the old style Caddy. Looked at a few of them over the years but they were either too ratty or didn't have the 5.7 motor.

Those throttle body 350's were not dogs. Our previous Roadmaster was a 92 sedan with the trailer package (3.08 ratio) and it was not tons slower than our current LT1 version. I just happen to be an LT1 fan but the TBI's are no slouch.

Well, that's lots for an 18 year old Caddy but it's sure a cool car!

Kind of like buying a new one but without the warranty I guess. The problem is, as soon as you drive it the depreciation would kick in pretty bad. It will have to remain a museum car.

Hard to know what he value is Carl, here is another nice looking one going on ebay too. 350 as well but with 152,000 miles. Let's watch this one to get a better idea.

The burgundy car looks great. Always wanted one of those with the 350. But all I ever saw for sale were 307 cars. Having had that engine in my 88 Caprice wagon, I wouldn't buy a 5 litre car.
