Garage find...sorta

Last Monday I asked a friend of mine if I could use his shop/hoist to replace the rear axle seals/bearings/brakes on my GTO.I apprenticed under him back in 83-85,great man to put up with me.I was shocked to still see that he still has this 69 firebird that he bought brand new.He ordered it and what's really cool is it's a 350 HO car with
delete stripe.47,000 mi and still runs strong,a very original car.Yeah he says someday it will be restored,uh huh.Neat though.I couldnt get any side pics as the garage was packed,he is a hoarder.smileBTW he did most of work on my car,how good is that.

Cool!.

Is it originaly orange paint and if so was that a standard available color?.
I'd be interested to see the cowl tag as it may be a dash-dash paint code?.

That's an original color. Called Carousel Red by Pontiac, Hugger Orange by Chevrolet.

The car was ordered as follows. Carousel red.Black converible top. black deluxe interior with wood wheel.am/fm with power ant. power steer/disc brakes. hood tach. 350HO. 3spd auto.also has the poverty caps.Car is completely original except for 2 front tires ,both rad hoses an both belts.I think thats it.I will try to get a pic of the tags but it won't be easy.
