Nice 51 Cheiftain six, the interior is identical as mine. Is it original interior or it was redone. I need to redo mine & I am trying to find the material as close if not the same as the original. Deos anyboby knows were I could find this material?
His car is original. So your looking at what was in the car from new in 51.
Stephnzone, I noticed for the second line for the Streamliner six 49/51 it has a double + sign then refering to the bottom index saying 51 models only. So I guess in 51 they made Streamliners in sedans and four doors sedans. I thought they only came in coupes all the way from 48 to 52. Its nice to see the info as to what was being built in these years. There is really not much info out there. Thanks!
There is not much out there for interior cloth replacment that I have seen for the 49/52 cars. But if you find a reputable auto interior installer you might get lucky and its real close to the original. Please keep posting your updates on the things you plan to do and whats done on your car. Love any info that can be posted.
