I know exactly where the Detroit Dragway was, "home of the world championships".

I will be at Stanton this weekend for the pure stock muscle car drag races:

We went there back in the 70's. It was a wild place back then. They didn't want you bringing in your own beer, but they  would sell it to you. It was about a 2 hour drive and had a lot more fast cars than at St.Thomas Dragway (our local) track.
