RE: Newby - car search preferences

OK, must also admit, always loved the Lemans Sprint, 66/67. Although built in the US, what a fantastic, innovative motor, the inline 6 with 4 barrel carb, split exhaust, high compression ratio, timing belt .......put on a coke bottle body with verticle head lamps, beauty

Can't comment on 66 Beaumont SD 6 cyl but back when we got married I had a 65 Chev SS ( white with red interior ) with a 230ci 6 cyl. So 6 cylinder sports models certainly did exist.

Welcome Rick D.

That is a very unusual combination of colours on your car. I like it. Is that original?

Carl, the car was my grandfathers, and i still have the bill of sale. It was a HT to start, then my dad, being in the GM car business, had the vynol roof put on immediately. I haven't had that car since the 80's. I was going to drop a 283ci in it, but the frame wasn't good and we let it go. I think it's met the crusher as we tried but cannot locate it now.

That blue SD looks really nice but I have to say that Rick's Grandfather's car was exceptionally nice looking, that white and red combo in outstanding.

I also have to say that that photo looks an aweful lot like a street my Aunt lived on in the Brimley and Ellesmere area of Scarborough back in the day.
