1967 Pontiac Grande Parisienne 2 Door

Runs, sounds, and drives like day one. 39k miles. I just bought her. Amazingly tight clean driver.  All there, all working, matching #.  I have owned it a week, and love it more every day. No other car has done that.  I'm a believer. Fender skirts on or off?

Tom

It's a beauty either way!

Welcome here.

Numbers match, is it a small block, big block???

Any known history on it?

Thank You Carl,

I recently bought the car from the original owners decendant. He gave me more history than I could remember at the time, as I bought it on sight, at what I think is a bargain. Of course I'm skeptical about claims made by sellers, but for the price, it didnt matter. He remains available for information when required. Some original docs, came with it. I am a believer now that I've been over it. I have plans to paint at this point, but thats about it, as there isnt anything else wrong. It is a small block with 2 sp powerglide.

Thank You. Love to communicate with people that appreciate this car. One drive in her does it for most.

Thanks Elroy,

Me too....a little wide rubber wouldnt hurt either. I love the hideaway lights, and all the power windows and power antenna work like new. Its fun to drive again!

I love it too!!!

If original paint, please think it over carefully before a respray!.
It looks pretty nice as is and originality is worth more than perfection especially since you can't recreate it once it's gone!.

Welcome to CP Tom!

Great find!
39K miles, wow! She must be clean. And I thought mine was low at 56k.
I'm even newer to the GP scene than you...I pick mine up next tuesday!
Wish we were within driving distance.

Is it a 4 Barrel 327?

Cheers, Mark

Yes, very clean, tight and getting better everyday. Do you have more pics of yours...I like the color and want to see  more. No distance is out of reach now! Youre gonna love it.  It gildes uphill effortlessly, and rediculous throttle response. Its a 2 bl small block with 2 sp powerglide. I've already cracked the 40k mark.  FUN!

Tks Tom

Can I include your pictures in that file?

In my younger days whenever I came across something that clean and tight my objective would have been to get the skirt off as soon as I could. Nowadays I prefer the skirts on look. Certainly one of the most distinguishing features of the Grande Parisienne.

Beautiful car. I wish I'd found it first. wink

Due to the relative rarity of the GP, and the unique look of the skirts, I'd leave them on. The skirts make the car seem lower and longer.

Like I said..........it's a beauty.

Skirts on- a much classier look. I think I saw that car up at the Home Depot cruise a month or two ago.
