Bob, your posting this thread is very timely. Tomorrow is the annual Cadillac show at City Chevrolet Cadillac (formerly City Pontiac Buick Cadillac) in Toronto. I usually attend. There is bound to be a '59 or two or three there, wouldn't be surprised if there is a red Seville there too.
If I go I'll be posting my photos tomorrow evening.
Bob, What do you think is a fair price for this gem? It's outta my league, but I think $25 to 30K is about right.
Assuming that there aren't many hidden surprises, I'd say you're right in the ballpark. But, I'm guessing the reserve may surprise us. And, the resto will be very expensive. There's no point in going half way on a car like this. It will be easy to spend $60,000 to get it to where it deserves to be.

It pays to buy a done car in this market. But I can't resist a good barn car, especially one as rare and gorgeous as this. Go thru the mechanics of it and drive it as it looks for a year or two and then mortgage the house and resto it.
Well the good news is my team won their game this afternoon, the bad news is I got to The City Cadillac show just in time to see them loading up the trailers. Al Webster was there and Don Horton with about three or four of his cars. Here's all I got this year.

How about that exhaust bumper outlet. I often wonder the resto mod chevelle's that are lowered don't buy up all of our '66 Beaumont bumpers and use the reverse holes for exhaust...

Well that does it for me. Now I gotta go make a deal on that pearl Allante'. I have been thinking about it for a month and soon as I can sell one or two, it's mine!
