One has 2 gears, the other has 5.  Worth noting, as mentioned before, the Beaumont gets the lone spot in the garagebiggrin

Great motors those Northstars. (But like all new engines, it's Mr Goodwrench that does the work.)

So how was the show this year?  Bigger or smaller than last year?  Sounds like they wound it up earlier if everyone was leaving by 3 this year.

Don Horton told me 48 cars, so that is about 50 to 75% smaller. I was really PO'd when I was heading there at 2:50 and vintage Caddy's were passing me going to opposite way. Probably the poor weather forecast was a factor.

Got there with Dad a little past 2. Quickly walked through the lot. Awards were at 3 and then every one left. Yes, it was smaller then last year. Was told the weather kept a few people away...

No, I haven't closed the deal yet...., but we are getting closer and closer. It really is a nice Allante' . I just have to make room for it and figure out how to pay for it. If one of the GTA's sells its a done deal.

Is it a 4.5 V8 ? Thought you said it was 1991. They had a better induction system that the 4.5 used in Devilles, They were rated at 200 HP @ 4400 rpm and 270 ft-lbs at a low 3200 rpm. enough to move that 3,500 pound car around smartly I would think, but as we know when you're driving a Cadillac it's all about the experience, taking longer to get some where is actually a pleasure! wink

It's a 90. Called a 90.5 Phase II model. Yes it's the 4.5 with the Tuned Ram Induction and they do move those cars out quite well. If they had been  rear wheel drive I would love them a lot more, for doing burnouts!

If I can't buy it at least someone I know will! It really is a nice Allante. I can't believe how nice the original paint is. The floors look like new!
