When I worked for Telesat in Ottawa, our offices were on River Road, just across the Rideau River from the Russian Embassy.  The above article is right, the Russian embassy is at the eastern end of Laurier Ave, I used to pass by it on occasion.   If I recall, Ed Broadbent's place (as leader of the NDP) was nearby.
