It's nice to see the 4 doors coming back. Now the common man can actually own somthing seen as somewhat desireable. But he better act fast!
The 64 Big CP in a 4DHT is sweet. Now we're begining to take notice of these cars. And you're right, they were run down, scrapped and only kept for parts. So the joke is on the 2 doors. *
Of course, I've recently become slightly biased.
Do resto mod on your car. Be not worried about numbers. Go with a hot crate SBC, 700R4, midprice suspension combo, budget front discs. Don't cut anthing away. Keep all parts. Give it a period mod look.

I must say,... the X frame exhaust system is hideous!! Mufflers are at a wild restricting angle coming off the manifolds and then having to follow the X frame and dive out the side of the back fenders!?!! After seeing the U.S. Catalina,.. nice centered, straight exhaust beside the drive shaft that follows the drive line right to the back bumper. Much nicer!! I'll give the US Pontiacs my vote for the exhaust! But hey ,... Canadian technology made up for that with designing their own air cleaner!
Hey,... can we add to this discussion with the dual quad Catalina VS a dual quad 409 Parisienne? Who'd wager pinks on this one?
