What post were the pics underneith? If your son is going to fly it, come get it. If your gonna sell it, I'll have to think about a price for it.

can't remember where the pics were posted. Yes, the ultimate plan would be to fly it-worse case would be to hang it over my bar ! Anyway when I was a kid the backyard neighbour had a couple-man did I love looking in his garage ! My boys and I went to the wheels and wings show at the Welland Airport they loved it-the plane would probably have to be something like project #68 or something like that-I would gladly buy one if I could find one-I don't even see them anywhare anymore-theres one in Port Colborne but they don't want to sell.

I used to have to production numbers from the historical package I got for my 80 Z, but I let them go with the car when I sold it.

This is all from memory, and I might be wrong...

I believe there was about 8000 Canadian Z's (Zeds?)
Of those, only 16% were stick shift.

That would make around 1300 4 spd canadian Z's. Mine was a 4 speed T top car. 1 of 80.

Its a tough market these days-you'll likely end with a lot more dollars parting it anyway-try posting the body without taking it apart-see if theres any bites.

It's about a grand by rail to B.C. It's gotta be cheaper to send it half way.

Has the world gone crazy? Can't sell a V8 four speed posi car here in Canada? I'm gonna have to get my kid another paper route. Some young (or not so young) kid should be all over this.

Is the above production number for 1980 ZEDs with T-tops and four speeds true, only 80? I had one in 1995 with 140k with original everything and the build sheet behind the rear seat. My buddy had the nearly identical car. And to think I just bought a common as a belly button Beaumont!wink

Just don't part it...someone has to come to their senses!

10-4 Carl. If it's still here in the spring, I'll let you know. You'd think it would sell considering the 4 speed alone makes these thing extremely fun to bomb around in. I had thoughs about tubbing, and blower, but to nice to cut up. After I bought the player's Trans Am, No room. Sign of the times I guess. When I was a kid, a clutch car was almost impossible to find, now there is no intrest. 20 + years later things have changed.

I had a customer with a loaded 81 350 4spd. He said that the 80-81 Camaro 4spds were a Canadian / export only option. All US 350's were autos as the 4spd did not meet US emissions at the time ??

Only 81's were canada only in the 350/4spd. US still had the 350/4 spd in 1980.

The US got 305/4spd's in 81'!

I'm sure tempted - the daughter just got her license and keeps sending me links to Z/28's and TA's hint hint wink wink nudge nudge

I was thinking a nice little 6 cylinder Nova, Chevy II or Acadian but this is a pretty nice looking Camaro....

I thought the Acadian would be great - good resale, reasonable on gas and insurance, not too fast for a newby driver and I can actually work on the darn thing...
