Congrats to BeaumontWagon 8.23@169

Hope Chris doesn't mind me posting that his street driven '69 Bird ran 8.23@169 this past weekend at Gimli Dragways....

I didn't get a chance to get out and see it, I was at Brainerd (and not watching racing, just golfing a nice Arnold Palmer course!!)

Way to go Chris!!!

Wow, nice job Chris!

I was hoping to take our son for his birthday but a volleyball tourney got in the way.

my brother was racing the day that happened... my dad and i went for a ride to see it after it landed, we were at the lake about 20 minutes away... my brother was the 'black sheep', his racing involved turning the steering wheel! the winnipeg sports car club runs alternate weekends to the dragracing...

Yeah, and to top it off has a supportive wife. Doesn't get much better than that!

My wife supports all my craziness but I'm not out turning 8.23@169 either!!!

Hey Chris,

That's awesome man ! I heard you were "pedaling" it to boot. Sorry I missed it. Is that still with the same bottom end ??

Hey are you a dad yet ?? gotta be getting close ??

I went out on Sunday. Got two runs in but still can't find fourth gear with that damn trans. It's going back to Liberty for a "check up". Ran 7.43 in the 1/8 but missed fourth gear... again.

7.43 in the 18th??? Chris is almost done a 1/4 by then!!!!!

Maybe you have a slightly smaller investment in your car though....
