14" x 7" Pontiac Rally wheels...

Is there any point hanging onto these rims?  It seems to be getting tougher to find the 14" tires, and I can't see myself ever going from 15's back to 14's.  Coupled with the fact that they are not standard issue for my Beaumont anyway...Why would I keep these?  Are there lots on the used marketplace?  Thoughts appreciated...

14" rims are getting harder to find all the time. If you have a full set that are off one car (date matched) then they are worth more being a set. It is getting tough to find wide/tall 14" radial tires as well.
You can always advertise them in the parts for sale section.

I've got a nice set of four 14 X 6 Rally II's as well, they would look good on a little 1967-69 Firebird ...

Pretty sure they're not date matching. Also need a good media blast, repaint, beauty rims, and center caps. Other than that though, spectacular! When I finally retire them (as opposed to retire them), I'll let you know!

The 14x7 JK code are the hardest to find and the most valuable. They were used on 1969 Grand Prix with disc brakes and Firebirds with V8 engines. The Tempest and GTO used the same wheel but with a JA code.

Thanks for the heads up.  Once I remove them from the car (and the 20 year old Goodyears that are still being used todaydisbelief) I'll look for the numbers.
thx again...

My LeMans runs 14" Rally II Wheels. I have a spare set of 15" Rally II's I took off a '76 Firebird before I sold it about 20 years ago, they are still on tires which are holding air! Anyway the Rally II has to be the all time best looking factory wheel ever produced. For the amount of money you would get for them I'd just keep them, you never Know.

Looks like two of them are JK, one is a JM, and the fourth only shows a partial stamp but looks like it might be a "WS"?...
There are other numbers as well which must mean something to someone in the know?...

Carl , Are these wheel ID numbers for Canadian Pontiacs or U.S or for both? The reason I ask is I am looking for some 5 on 5 - 15 X 6 or 15 X 7 Ralley 2 for a 1973 Grand Ville. I have found two 15 x 6 bare wheels in good condition locally for 25$ each.

I am guessing but I imagine by the mid 70's the wheels would be the same, would they not?

I have a lot to learn about 70's cars. Always been more of a 60's guy.
