According to the official B-J auction results on their site, it went for $27,500.

Well knock me over with a feather, I never would have guessed that it would have gone for that much.  Those of you who were watching, what did the purchaser look like?  Did he have a toque on?biggrin

Seriously, I wonder if our American cousins are starting to realized the rarity of our CPs?  I mean from a drivetrain perspective, it's nothing special, just a 283/glide, so that GTO interior and the unique front and rear ends  must have done the trick.

Wow.  After seeing some of the prices last night (including a very nice '72 Cuda 340 4 speed), I'm pleasently surprised!

I watched that one go through. It took a while to crack $20K, but the commentators acutally seemed  to have some knowledge of the Canadian Pontiacs so they kept the info going while the auction went on. Car looked really nice on the block. Good price for a 283 PG car.

It's a good feed , hardly any hype, most accurate for following the bidding only. You don't get to hear the commentators. Good OR bad, you decide!!biggrin

The commercials drive me "nuts" too, you see a Pontiac or something else that catches your eye next on the block & they take their break, when they come back 7 cars have gone through, they show the next 2 maybe 3 & they are gone again. On the Sat. when the "high buck" cars roll through, not nearly as many commercials & spaced further apart!!!  I didn't think that there were that many 67-69 Camaro's left in the world???  Pete

a couple years ago on a Barret-Jackson Auction, Mike Joy specifically mentioned Canadian Pontiac's (Laurentian, Strato-Chief, Parisienne's).  If I recall, he is from New England somewhere.   Keep in mind the price listed on BJ website includes the buyers commission.
