65 SD with options.. and evening orchid color

just saw this car on the weekend, and I have to say it is beautiful.. the color isnt my first choice, but according to the owner.. it's one of 13.
I'll try to list the options in it.. again..
It was confirmed that dealer options were installed in the day, and a really nice job done too..
Thanks to the gentleman who shared this with us as well..

there were 108 total L74 optioned (300 hp 327) including the chevelle ss in 65 (in canada of course).

300 hp 327
four speed
pwr steering
pwr brakes
clutch fan
12 bolt dif
remote mirror
day/night rearview mirror
power windows
power seat
hazard lights module
tilt steering
rear defrost
rear speaker
reverb module
rear mount power antenna
vacuum trunk release
am/fm radio
tach
gauges
wood wheel (2 spoke chevelle)
front and rear bumper gaurds

there's probably more I'm forgetting.. it's wild.

Something isn't quite right. Why would there be a 66 gto tach in that cluster? My call is he probably ordered car with all the dealer installed stuff. Does he have the build sheet to prove this? It's a very nice car with alot of dealer installed stuff but I don't think it's factory. I would love to be proved wrong because this car is too sweet to be true. Don't get me wrong because I love it. Sell it too me now!!!!

the owner says this is the exact way it was ordered from GM in the day.

I never knew that GM Canada installed Chevrolet horn buttons on the steering wheels of Beaumonts....learn something new every day !

Other than a few glitches , this is a truly lovely car.

yep.. I knew it would create some discussion for sure. He does have a build sheet for it, but I didnt get a chance to see it. He seemed like a really good guy too. I believe he's owned the car since 66 or 67, and bought it from his friend that ordered it from GM. I'll try to get the whole story from him at some point.
the paint code on the cowl tag was "P"

to be continued I'm sure.

isnt that a 65 GTO tach?

the speedo and gauges were as well.  I asked him about it.  "thats the way it came".  I know I have the 64 GTO tach, as do most other beaumonts that had them, but you never know if the dealer installed the whole dash from a 65.. same as the radio.. Pontiac am/fm

it's wild man..

It's not the first time we've seen Pontiac name on dash parts, and won't be the last.

That is a rare color. Seen it on 65 Impala's but never on an intermediate. I think it looks fine.

My father in law had a 65 Impala SS in that color.  It had a white interior and that meant a black rug, package tray and dash pad.
327 V-8 with powerglide on the console.  bought the car in Alabama in about 1968-69

That is a beautiful colour. Very rare, and very 60's.

That is a pretty SD.

As stated, it would be great to see the documents. That has to be a rare car.
