2 1966 parisiennes 4 sale Manitoba $ 250.00 for both

Another thing I noticed is that there are no A/C outlets in the bottom corners of the dash either.... Still no trim tag pic for "C60"?

Exactly. It's as if the dash was changed and yet it's not a bolt in if I remember right.

I'm confused   there are two cars   one has a/c outlets and vent to hump dash pad  and the other doesn't   1 is a/c  1 is not?

That is not one of the two cars in the pictures.

That is 66 Grande Guy's car for comparison.

Hi 427 Carl,
There are (2) Parisiennes for sale/sold. 1 has air, whether it is factory or not and 1 is without air.
The above photo is of a 3rd. Parisienne with factory air that 66 Grande Guy already owns for comparison.
I know ... I found it all confusing also! Ha, ha.

Basically the story is this.  I own a 66 Grande with air.  I arranged to buy the car advertised with factory AC but it doesn't  have the dash venting that mine does so we're trying to fgure out if it is factory or was added later or?  Regardless, I'm going to get this Parisienne in early Nov as I could use the parts.

It will be a 2800 km trip to go get a parts car which has to be some kind of record for silliness.

The other one I guess is still for sale.

Just a sickness Ken, just a sickness!!! But a very good sickness at that!! biggrin

Remember, I took the trip to the West Coast and a little beyond for my Grande.... But I did fly over, drive through and see a different part of our country in the meantime which is always a great thing!!!

That's not sick, that's normal. I've had car parts shipped from all over Canada and the US. Bought cars in the US, bla bla bla. We all do it on here so it must be normal!!!!!

Hey Carl, we should be heading out tomorrow around noon.  Can you PM me your phone number so we can try to hook up.  I'll give you a call when we're getting close and we'll see if it'll work out.

It's  pretty exciting now  but I figure the novelty will wear off about 6 hours into the drive.

Warren

I just spoke with Ken (8:00 PM Friday) and he is east of Lloydminister. He is thinking his ETA will be later tomorrow afternoon likely. I told him I would try to meet him there about the same time he arrives and give him a hand. I also told him I'd post on here for you and that I will talk to him again tomorrow.

Carl

Ok, Ken just called me a bit ago and says he is on track for about 4 in Gimli if anyone is interested in coming to help.

We will see how it goes there I guess and then decide if coffee time is Gimli or Winnipeg.

I should have my cell along. I hate posting it online but will do it this way---

two zero four seven four six four nine zero three

Update 9:30 pm

I got to Warren's place about 4:30. Talked to Ken about 4:00 and he was running about an hour late. No biggy, nice day except for the wind. Pulled in and Warren was just starting on the car to prepare it. He'd had a bit of a nightmare the last 24 hours so the time he had allotted to get it ready had been used up other ways!

Anyway, both back drums were seized onto the shoes as well as the axle. Warren and I "talked" to those drums pretty hard with the smaller sledge hammer but to no avail. While he went out to buy a new sawzall blade I took the backside of the axe and persuaded one of the drums it needed to cooperate! After he got back we did the same thing to the other side. I think about he time we got it off, Ken pulled in.

Any of you know Ken? He has one speed when he works, full throttle!!! I thought I worked hard but I think I met my match. Anyway, as the sun was setting the three of us thrashed putting 4 wheels on the car that Ken brought. Left rear went fine, as I was installing the second nut on the right rear, the stud went mushy and turned off. I wasn't even to the rim yet, likely 3 threads to go still. Out came the sledge again and a bunch more work involving some new bolts, nuts etc to make the right rear wheel ready for travel. I think we finished up around 7:00 or so.

Some notes on the car----

-Interesting.... Factory air stuff on the firewall, heater box on inside of firewall is for an a/c car as well. However, no dash ducting or vents, never been there. A/C control head in the dash is the correct one though. As if someone did half an install.

-No options codes on firewall tag at all. Just build date, model, paint and trim, that's it.

-Car has 3/8 fuel line from the tank, so it was a 327 or a big block.

-Car has the 4 rear control arms, so F40 car, yet it has a 10 bolt....

Anyway, Ken is on the road.

It was great meeting him. We tried to find a coffee house in town to sit and yak, but no luck so we shook hands and said it would be another time.

Great meeting Warren, too. It was a lot of fun working together with him getting this car road ready.
