Hi guys just made it back.  Thanks so much for the help!  I could not have made it without you.  It was a very tight schedule which is why I had to give-er. (Normally I'm kind of a slug.)  I'll post some pics and my side of the story on the Going to Gimli thread in the 65-70 Pontiac section once I get over the road lag.

Glad you made the trip back OK .. Great to see the old girl go to a good home .. if we all had more time / space /cash .....what else? maybe we could save them all.

Maybe we need to start a a humane society for abandoned iron .. Take care and I look forward to seeing the trip story/photos ..

By the way Carl what.... similarities do you see between Vern and me?

obviously not our good looks and flowing blonde hair.

Haha, the most obvious one is that "Git 'er done" attitude/motivation. That was quite evident with the difficulty we were having getting that car prepared for towing!
